Terms of Service

These terms apply when you book or attend any session, course or programme with Upasana Somatic. By booking, you agree to them. Please read the Disclaimer and complete any required screening and consent before your session — some sessions cannot go ahead without them.

1. Who we are

Upasana Somatic is the breathwork and somatic practice of Yaku, operating as Victor Soto, 25 Lock Court, 1 Essex Wharf, Hackney, London E5 9HP. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we offer

Breathwork, somatic coaching and nervous-system integration sessions, workshops and programmes, offered online and in person. Details, formats and prices are on our website or the relevant booking page.

3. Bookings and payment

• A booking is confirmed once payment is received and, where required, your screening and consent are completed and reviewed.
• Prices are in GBP and shown on the booking page. Payment is taken via Stripe.
• For breathwork and gated sessions, we may need to review your screening before confirming — if a session isn’t suitable for you, we’ll say so and refund any payment in full.

4. Suitability, screening and consent

• Certain sessions (including connected breathwork) have health contraindications. You agree to complete the screening honestly and to tell us about any change in your health before a session.
• We may decline, modify or defer a session on safety grounds, or ask you to obtain clearance from your doctor first. This is part of our duty of care, not a judgement.
• You remain responsible for your own wellbeing and for disclosing relevant health information.

5. Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds

6. Your conduct

Please arrive on time, follow reasonable safety guidance during sessions, and let us know of anything affecting your ability to take part safely. We may end a session if continuing would be unsafe.

7. Recordings and content

Where a session is recorded (e.g. a masterclass recording offered for sale), we’ll tell you in advance. We will never film or photograph you without your prior written consent. Any practice materials, recordings or written content we provide are for your personal use and remain our intellectual property.

8. Scope of practice — important

Upasana Somatic offers breathwork and somatic coaching. It is not medical treatment, psychotherapy, or a substitute for either. We do not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and we cannot advise you to start, stop or change any medication or treatment prescribed to you. Please see the Disclaimer.

9. Liability

• Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.
• Subject to that, we are not liable for outcomes arising from information you did not disclose, from your not following safety guidance, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant session.
• Results vary from person to person, and no specific outcome is promised.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
